The first order of business is to find a new theme that you like.

Learn Firefox has a build-in resource to help you quickly find a new theme. Just visit the homepage and click on the “Themes” button:

 

 

You can now scroll through 200+ screenshots of Firefox themes.

When you find a theme that you like, just click on the name of the theme. In the example below, we’ll choose the Aluminum Alloy theme:

 

 

After clicking on the name of the theme, you will be taken to the Official Firefox Add-Ons site. Once there, click on the green “Install Now” button:

 

 

The “Software Installation” pop-up window will appear. Click the “Install Now” button:

 

 

The installation will begin:

 

 

When the installation is complete, click on the “Themes” section in the Add-ons window:

 

 

Locate the theme that you just installed and click the “Use Theme” button:

 

 

Close the “Add-ons” window, and Restart your browser.

 

 

**Important** Make sure to restart your browser. When Firefox re-opens, it will open with your new theme.
