Copy Link Text is a Firefox Extension.

You can download it from the Firefox Add-Ons site.

Let’s say we’d like to copy a hyperlink’s text, i.e., not the URL.

In the example below, the text that that we’d like to copy is “Bylaws of Mozilla Corporation.”

 

 

Normally, you would highlight the text, right-click, and select “Copy” from the Context Menu:

 

 

This extension makes the process a little easier and definitely quicker.

Just right-click on the hyperlink and choose “Copy Link Text.”

 

 

In addition to removing the step of having to highlight the link, you also won’t have to worry about accidentally visiting the page when trying to highlight it.
