AlphaTicker is a Firefox Extension.

You can download it from the Firefox Add-Ons site.

This extension places a scrolling stock market ticker inside your Firefox browser:

 

 

The stock quotes are delayed at least 15 min. The quotes do change while the ticker is moving. By default, they change every 5 seconds.

If you’d like to hide the ticker from view, just click on View > Toolbars > AlphaTicker Toolbar:

 

 

If you left-click on the ticker, it will stop in it’s place. The quotes will keep changing however.

If you right-click on the ticker, you can access the Options Window:

 

 

From here, you can customize just about everything (including which symbols you’d like to appear on the ticker):
