Firefox gives you several options to help you manage your downloads.

To access them, go to the top of your browser and click Tools > Options:

 

 

Make sure that you are in the “Main” section.

Then find “Downloads”:

 

 

1. First you can choose to have the Download Manager appear when you begin downloading a file. You can also choose to have it close automatically when the download is complete.
2. Next, you can choose where you’d like to download the file onto your computer. By default, files will be downloaded to your Desktop. To change this, click the “Browse” button and choose a new location.
3. Perhaps you don’t want files downloaded to the same place every time. If this is the case, just check the box labeled “Always ask me where to save files.”
