Twitbin is a Firefox Extension.

You can download it from the developer’s website or the Firefox Add-Ons site.

Twitbin allows you to send and receive Twitter messages (tweets) right from your Firefox sidebar.

After installing Twitbin, you’ll notice the following toolbar button on your Navigation Bar:

 

 

Left-clicking this button opens Twitbin in your sidebar:

 

 

By default, you will be shown all public “tweets.”

So the first thing that you may want to do is login to your Twitter account. To do so, just click on the following button and enter your Twitter credentials:

 

 

Next, you can change the listing in the sidebar from public “tweets” to those of your friends only. You can also adjust the amount of time Twitbin takes to refresh. Just click on the button shown below:

 

 

You can send your own “tweets” by typing them into the space shown below:

 

 

Unfortunately, Twitbin does not give you an indication of how many characters you have used. It just stops your typing when you reach 140.
