View OpenDocument Text Files
ODF Reader is a Firefox Extension.
You can download it from the Firefox Add-Ons site.
Being an OpenOffice user myself, I really like this Firefox extension. With it, you can view OpenDocument Text files right inside your Firefox browser.
Using this extension is actually very simple and straightforward. If you come across an ODF file on the Internet, you can click on it and it will automatically open in your browser window.
Or, you can view ODF files located on your computer.

To view ODF documents located on your computer, you would go to the top of your browser and click File > Open File:

Next, locate and open the file on your computer:

The ODF file will open right in your Firefox browser. Here’s a short 2-line sample:

**Note** You can only view the documents, not edit them.
This extension comes in handy when you’d like to view one of your documents without having to open the OpenOffice software.
