2 Pane Bookmarks
2 Pane Bookmarks is a Firefox Extension.
You can download it from the Firefox Add-Ons site.
Below is a default view of bookmarks displayed in the browser sidebar:

When clicking on a folder to open it, the corresponding bookmarks are listed directly under it.
The 2 Pane Bookmarks extension changes this layout. Here is a screenshot:

The sidebar is split into 2 panes. The top pane displays the folders, while the bottom pane displays the corresponding bookmarks.
As shown in the above example, clicking on the “Tech” folder in the top pane, displays the Tech bookmarks in the bottom pane.
A “Delete” button is also placed in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar; allowing you to quickly delete any of your bookmarks.
There aren’t very many customizations with this extension, but here is a screenshot of what’s available:
