Keywords allow you to search directly from your Location Bar (i.e., where you normally type a web address.)

Let’s say that you want to set up a keyword for Google search.

First, you would go to the Google homepage.

Then, you would right-click on the Google search box and choose “Add a Keyword for this search…”:

 

 

The “Add Bookmark” window will appear.

We’ll name this keyword search “Google Keyword” and assign the letter “g” as the keyword:

 

 

Click “Ok” and you’re ready to search Google from your Firefox Location Bar.

Let’s say that you want to search for the term  ”CyberNet News” on Google.

To do so, you would go to the Firefox Location Bar and type the keyword followed by the search term.

In this case, the Keyword is “g” and the search term is “CyberNet News”:

 

 

Hit “Enter” on your keyboard, and the Google search results for “CyberNet News” will appear:

 

 

You can set up keywords for any site that contains a search box.

Just right-click on the search box and follow the instructions outlined above.
