Below is a screenshot of two different toolbars – the Navigation Toolbar on top and the Bookmarks Toolbar on the bottom:

 

 

Let’s say you want to hide the Bookmarks Toolbar. In other words, you only want the Navigation Toolbar to appear in your browser window.

To remove the Bookmarks Toolbar, go to the top of your browser window and click View > Toolbars:

 

 

All of your toolbars will be listed. This includes any toolbars that you create yourself.

The checkmarks to the left of the toolbar names indicate that it will be seen on the browser window.

Since, in this example, you do not want the Bookmarks Toolbar to be seen, you need to left-click on “Bookmarks Toolbar” in the menu.

You will be left with the Navigation Toolbar:

 

 

Don’t worry! You did not delete the Bookmarks Toolbar. It is merely hidden from view.

In fact, if you were to go back to View > Toolbars you’ll notice that the Bookmarks Toolbar is still there; it just doesn’t have the checkmark to the left of it. This indicates that the toolbar is hidden:

 

 

If you would like to unhide the Bookmarks Toolbar, and have it appear once again on your browser window, just left-click on “Bookmarks Toolbar” in the menu.
