Create a New Toolbar

By default, Firefox has two toolbars - the Navigation Toolbar and Bookmarks Toolbar. However, you have the option of creating new toolbars.

Go to the top of your browser window and click View > Toolbars > Customize:

 

 

The “Customize Toolbar” window will appear.

Click on the Add New Toolbar button:

 

 

The “New Toolbar” window will appear. This is where you will type the Name of your new toolbar.

In our example, I’m going to name the toolbar “Edit”:

 

 

After clicking the “OK” button, your new toolbar will appear in your browser window. It should look similar to the following:

** Important **

Do not close the “Customize Toolbar” window without first dragging at least 1 button to your new toolbar. If you fail to drag at least 1 button, your new toolbar will disappear. It’ll be as if the toolbar was never created.

 

In our example, I’m going to drag over 3 buttons. Since I called this the “Edit” toolbar, I’m going to drag over the Cut, Copy, & Paste buttons.

To drag a button to the toolbar, left-click on it and drag-it. When you’re finished, you can close the “Customize Toolbar” window by clicking on the “Done” button.

Your new toolbar should look similar to the following:

 

 

If you want to hide your new toolbar, go to the top of your browser window and click View > Toolbars > Your New Toolbar. To unhide the toolbar, you would do the same:
