Oftentimes, there are multiple ways of achieving the same result in Firefox.

put your mouse over the icon in front of the “http://” in the address bar;

it will change from arrow to a small hand;

hold down left mouse button and drag the icon;

your mouse will first change to a sort of stop sign, but keep going;

position the mouse over the word “Bookmarks” in the menu bar;

your mouse will now change to a small arrow with a gray rectangle under it;

if you let go of the left mouse button the link will go in the “Bookmarks” folder;

if you have created new and different folders under “Bookmarks”, go down the list until your mouse is over the folder name you want;

let go of the left mouse button and the link will be placed on the folder you selected;
